A Palatial Kansas City “Castle” Is In the Running For HGTV’s Ultimate House Hunt Competition

HGTV is once again on the Ultimate House Hunt. It’s the perfect opportunity to tour some stunning abodes across the U.S. and cast a vote for your favorite(s). This year features eight different categories.

One of the finalists in the 2020 Waterside category is a grand local homestead affectionately referred to as “the castle.” We wanted the details behind the nomination process, so we reached out to realtor Tina Welch for the scoop and how to vote for this palatial Kansas City estate.

So you’re a finalist for HGTVs Ultimate House Hunt? How did that come about?
“I received the email from our marketing department at ReeceNichols that the contest was on again this year. I jumped on it thinking what a great way to showcase my magnificent listing. So I entered and was selected as a finalist.”

What does the “Waterside” category entail—and, more importantly, who’s your competition?
“All homes in this category must be on a body of water. The competition was just revealed yesterday and is on the website.”

You call the house “the castle.” Why is that?
“My clients were visiting Ashford Castle in Ireland and were inspired by it. Their dream became a reality.”

How can people vote?
Here’s the link where they can vote once a day in each category until August 4th.”

Finally, good luck! What are your chances? Are you thinking you have pretty good odds?
“I think our chances are great! We have a lot of great support from our friends and, of course, Kansas City!”
