Impulse Purchase of the Week: Global Mamas Women’s Trousers

We’re all struggling with what to wear these days. If you’re still working at home, making it out of pajamas may feel like a major accomplishment. If you’re in a hybrid arrangement or back in the office full time, you may think longingly about soft pants for at least 60% of your day.

Luckily, there’s an answer, and it’s beautiful. These women’s trousers are made from fair trade, soft organic cotton, and hand-batiked by female artisans in Ghana. With an elastic waist with a drawstring tie and slash pockets, they feel just as comfy as your sweats but make it fashion. Plus, wide legs and cropped length keep it on-trend. Pair them with a cropped sweater for 90s vibes or a simple linen shirt for a more formal look.

Global Mamas is an international organization that connects female makers in Ghana to the rest of the world. Locally, you can find their products at Ten Thousand Villages in Overland Park, including these lust-worthy pants. And October is Fair Trade Month, so there’s never been a better time to buy with your conscience and support small producers working for a fair wage.

Find the women’s trousers in Rings Green Print for $68 at globalmamas.org or try them on in the store at Ten Thousand Villages.
