“I absolutely enjoy following local connector K.C. O’Rourke on Instagram. She’s a social media, marketing, and PR rock star who cheers for all things Kansas City. I call her ‘the fixer,’ because if you need a cool space for an event, fabulous catering, or a quick photo shoot in a day, she always ‘knows a guy’—which is why her Instagram feed is a favorite.
Her food and happy-hour photos of sweet, local hangouts always help keep my ‘places to try’ list fresh. But it’s not just a foodie Insta-buffet. I’m a sucker for a real, down-to-earth feed, and her posts about parenting and straight-up mom life are hilarious, quirky, and refreshing. One of my favorite posts was an actual note from her daughter (who is also darling, btw). Long story short, it was a love/tween-angst note scrawled in magic marker with a ‘Happy Valentine’s-Day-and-I-love-you-and-you-aren’t-the-boss-of-me’ kind of thing. True love right there.”
