For nearly two decades, 5B&Co. Candlemakers has been lighting up Brookside with a variety of nose-worthy fragrances. Recently, the shop’s look and name changed to The Corner Candleshop, where they now offer a giftable selection of items, including nearly 200 scents of candles hand-poured on-site in tea light, wax tart, votive, and container styles. You’ll also spy seasonal and home décor.
“Here & Now” is the newest oil that owner Lori Woods just adores, and the shop’s recent rebrand offered the perfect occasion to debut the fragrance. Intended to be a new year-round scent, “Here & Now” contains delicate citrus notes of green Kiwano melon and lime layered with an intriguing touch of cucumber. The combination is particularly complementary, considering the Kiwano’s smell is often described as citrusy with a hint of cucumber.
“We are excited about the present and the future of the store,” Woods says. “People are spending more time than ever in their home environments, and candles have a way of creating a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere that can be adjusted based on the situation.”
In addition to the traditional candle styles, “Here & Now” has recently been added to The Corner Candleshop’s “Now Pouring” list. Customers can bring in a container of their choice, and the scented wax is hand-poured into the container to make one-of-a-kind candles.
