New year, new opportunities. Big deadlines are coming up for Kansas City area artists, from indoor fairs to grant opportunities and large annual festivals. Check out some upcoming deadlines you won’t want to miss:

60th Annual Mid-Winter Art Fair
Ward Parkway Center has hosted this annual event since 1963, dedicating time and giving exposure to some of the most talented artists in Kansas City. Summit Art celebrates the 60th anniversary this year with a juried indoor art fair and space for 50 artist booths.

Mid-America Arts Alliance Artistic Innovations
This grant program offers up to $15,000 to support artists in the process of creating and premiering new work in dance, film, literature, music, theater, and visual arts. Last year’s grant funds totaled up to more than $189,000, and the Mid-America Arts Alliance has awarded over two million dollars to regional artists and organizations since 2012.

Kansas City Fringe Festival
The call for Kansas City’s annual Fringe Festival is out! Local and touring artists can apply for a spot at this beloved festival. The festival supports artists through local venues, staffing, technical rehearsals, multiple performance times, and a creative environment fostering the independent artistic process. Established and emerging artists welcome!
