Treat Yourself: A Debut Book on Creative Flow and Self-Expression

Jenny Hahn

Visual artist and author Jenny Hahn released her first book last month, and it’s all about finding (and releasing) your inner creative. While we’re all looking to get up and go, it can be difficult to spark our imaginations and engage in self-expression—that’s where Hahn’s guide takes over. Cold, dreary, and dark days put a damper on our creative spirits, and this book is all about bringing the magic back into your world. A member of the Kansas City art scene for over two decades, Hahn has become known as a “creative midwife” and “artistic cheerleader.”

Creative Flow: Tap and Express Your Juicy Essence is an all-in-one type of guide, including real-life stories, writing prompts, mindfulness practices, and creative exercises to flex your artistic muscles. “We are all creative beings worthy of expression, artist or not,” says Hahn, who graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute and is known for her acrylic paintings and fine art prints. “Creativity is inherent. It’s the juicy nectar flowing through us all the time and can be accessed as a tool for transformation and source of wellbeing.”

The book is available at select local stores and online at creativeflowbook.com.
