The KC Sunflower Festival is taking over for three consecutive weekends with KC Wine Co. Lawn games, a giant slide, and live music make celebrating Kansas agriculture better than ever. 

Black Community Fund Legacy Gala August 11-12
We’re celebrating 40 years of philanthropy with the Black Community Fund! The night includes dinner, entertainment, guest speakers, and awards. All proceeds benefit the mission of BCF—enhancing African-American communities in the Greater Kansas City area.

Loews Hotel BBQ Showdown Cardinals vs. Royals August 12
St. Louis and Kansas City square off in barbecue and baseball this weekend. Diners vote on whose dishes are best between chefs from Loews hotels, participate in a raffle, and a portion of all proceeds go to DonorsChoose.

50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop Concert August 12
Let’s celebrate 50 years of hip-hop! Hosted by Angela Believes and The Royal Chief, the event focuses on the local community who contributed to the scene’s development in Kansas City. A position of the benefit’s proceeds will be donated to the American Jazz Museum and the Mutual Musicians Foundation.
