Local author Emily Farris is launching her new book at the Sierra Winter Jewelry shop this weekend. Farris will read from her essay collection, I’ll Just Be Five More Minutes: And Other Tales from My ADHD Brain, before a cocktail reception and book signing. 

City Barrel’s Week of Rad February 23 to 24
City Barrel is turning five! Their anniversary celebration spans the whole week (starting on February 19), with a new beer released each day. You’ll also play sports-themed games, including a basketball challenge and hockey cake shootout with McLain’s. One lucky partier will win free beer for a year with the purchase of the City Barrel Scratcher Cards!

Hyperrealist painter Abel Monagas Alfonso’s new exhibit is opening at Gallery Bogart in the West Bottoms. Alfonso’s new work explores the face as a shield, notably featuring a series of personal paintings including a poignant portrayal of his grandmother.
