The Gallery of Lost Things

The Gallery of Lost Thingsis artist Larissa Uredi’s first installation exhibition and will feature needle-felted sculptures, experiential and sensory artwork as well as original works on silk. The work will be up throughout the month of July with the opening reception on July 12th. Fantasmo vs. The Vampire Women

Fantasmo vs. the Vampire Women is the latest audio theater adventure by Right Between the Ears. The plot, you ask? An evil coven of vampires is out to destroy the world—or possibly just Raytown. KC’s own real-life masked avenger Fantasmo battles the sexy bloodsuckers, plus lumbering robots with speech impediments, ravenous zombie hordes, and mad scientists. It’s the ultimate war between good and evil. It’s about things that go bump in the night. It’s also about an hour long. Get tickets!


Diva Dash 5K

Break out your pink! The 8th annual Diva Dash 5K & Lil’ Princess Girl Run is set for this Saturday morning. Participants receive a race shirt, custom bib, and finishers of the 5K receive a large medal.

The Hobbit

J.R.R. Tolkiens classic adventure tale comes to life on the Theatre for Young America stage. The little Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, goes on a magnificent quest to recover the treasure from Smaug the Dragon. He is helped along the way by Gandalf the Wizard and the mighty but small Thorin Oakenshield. In a dark and mysterious cavern he encounters the slippery Gollum and is saved by a magic ring that can make him invisible.
