This Week in Kansas City: April 19 to 21

Celebrate Earth Day this weekend with these back-to-nature events.

Swope Park Fauna April 20
Learn about the animals living in Swope Park, their habitats, how to preserve them. For the kiddos, StoneLion Puppets will present two performances at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Lakeside Nature Center. There will also be arts and crafts activities. 

Casual Animal Brewing 3rd Annual Earth Day Celebration April 20
Local snack and craft vendors, including Cultivate KC, KC Compost Collective, Ripple Glass, Upcycle KC, and many more will be on site from noon to 6 p.m. Enjoy a brew while you discover what you can do for the Earth. 

Party for the PlanetApril 20 – 21
Celebrate Earth Day with the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday. The Earth Day explorer’s scavenger hunt starts the celebration, then visit the activity tables to learn about pollinators, decorate a peat pot, and take the trash test.
