About Senior Truth Series:
These free, monthly seminars are called the Senior Truth Series. They were started by Julie Spaulding, a former middle school math teacher who saw the need for more education for older adults and their caregiver children as they moved through late-life transitions. Spaulding, a Lifestyle Real Estate Specialist, is a Certified Senior Housing Professional and Downsizing Coach. She believes that downsizing should leave you overjoyed not overwhelmed. The free 90-minute seminars are generally on the third Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m. in the Tomahawk Ridge Community Center, 11902 Lowell Ave., Overland Park, KS. Each seminar includes experts in the topic field. Recent seminar topics have included “The Truth About Staying Put & Aging in Place,” “The Truth About Estate Planning, Trusts, & Wills” and “The Truth About Alzheimer’s and Dementia.”
