Refuge at The Unicorn Theatre

January 25 - February 12

Refuge tells the story of a young Honduran girl and her harrowing journey crossing the US border through the inhospitable and barren land in Texas. The show uses original songs, artistic puppetry, and magical realism to tackle the immigration crisis through a unique lens. Refuge explores American values—who we say we are and who we are. Refuge contains adult subject matter and is recommended for ages 16+. Puppets in this show were created by What If Puppets (formerly Mesner Puppet Theatre). Refuge is produced at The Unicorn Theatre as part of a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere. Other Partner Theatres are Curious Theatre Company (Colorado) and Theatre Lab at Florida Atlantic University (Florida).
