A holiday weekend’s on the horizon, Kansas City, but nobody can accuse it of being one note. In addition to Easter activities galore, there’s a spring festival, a cannabis festival, a unique theater experience, and a soccer game. Oh, and magic—can’t forget the magic.

Champions of Magic
April 18
On Friday night, the Champions of Magic—a world-touring quartet of magicians from the U.S., the U.K., and Mexico—bring their two-plus-hour display of “grand scale magic” to the Kauffman Center. Tickets start at $51, and you can grab them on the Kauffman Center’s website.

Hypothesis: a Theatre Lab’s Exit 16 (Weekend 2 of 2)
April 18-20
This one’s a followup from last weekend. After each showing of Exit 16 from April 10 to 14, the playwright and cast stuck around to ask the audience for feedback. This weekend, they’re bringing the play back to the Arts Asylum stage with that audience feedback incorporated. You can give more feedback before the playwright submits it for copyright and publishing.
If you missed it, read about Exit 16‘s first run. And if you’re busy this weekend, grab a ticket to the Thursday show. Tickets are about $33.
Crossroads 4.2.0. Cannafest
April 18-20
If you’re into cannabis (and are at least 21—or 18 with a medical card), there’s a festival for you in the Crossroads. All weekend, The Tree Room 2.0, a music venue and consumption lounge, is hosting a ticketed event that includes live music, games, raffles, and just about every method of partaking.
Single-day tickets are $40 before fees, with additional options for two- and three-day passes. See more event details here, and get updates on Facebook.

Spring Fest
April 19
We’re pumped for this one. Spring Fest will bring fun for all ages to Zona Rosa on Saturday. Food trucks and the Easter bunny. An artisan market and balloon art. Craft cocktails and an afternoon petting zoo. More food trucks. The festival is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., but check the full schedule to make sure you don’t miss your favorite part.

Kansas City Current vs. Houston Dash
April 19
On Saturday night, the 4-0 KC Current will host the Houston Dash, a 1-1-2 club desperately looking for their footing. It’s always fun on the riverfront at CPKC Stadium; grab tickets here while they’re still available.

Tivoli Presents: Easter in Art
April 19-20
Want to look at Easter through a new lens? At 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, the Tivoli at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art will present Easter in Art, a documentary about Easter’s portrayal in art across cultures and centuries. Tickets are $10 for members and $12 for non-members. Grab some here.
