You will be entertained by not only an all-star line-up of BDU’s Luscious Ladies, who are all professional actresses, dancers, singers, and fire performers, but also by special guest emcee Danny Boi. Rock the Stockyards 5K

Rock the Stockyards 5K is the hottest 5K in Kansas City! This evening race, hosted by Stockyards Brewing Company on Saturday, August 10th, at 7:30 pm, will take you and a thousand (or more) of your sweaty friends through the streets of the historic Stockyards District in Kansas City’s West Bottoms. Your reward for beating the heat? A free concert after the race. The event benefits the Police Athletic League (PAL).

Heart of America Hotdog Festival

Date: Saturday, August 10

The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (NLBM) will host the 2019 Heart of America Hot Dog Festival on Saturday, August 10, near the 18th & Vine Historic District. The event features live entertainment, food, and more. Created by the NLBM in 2013, the Hot Dog Festival celebrates the historical connection between our national pastime and baseball fans’ favorite ballpark food—the hot dog. Proceeds benefit the NLBM.

Headlining the scheduled musical guest list for the 2019 Festival are R&B and rock legends War, funk and R&B masters The Gap Experience (The Gap Band), and soul singing-legend Howard Hewett.
