Holiday Boutique  November 18 – 21

The Overland Park Convention Center will be filled to the brim as a bevy of exhibitors display their wares, ranging from fashion to food to gifts to holiday accessories and everything in-between for this year’s boutique. Eat, drink, and shop for all your holiday needs. With a bit of proper planning, it just might be possible to complete all your holiday shopping in a single day! As you make your way into the show, don’t miss the Holiday Entertainment Stage featuring festive performances from local talent. Friday night after 5 p.m. is Girls Night Out, so get your besties together and enjoy music, drinks, door prizes, and late night, exclusive access to some fabulous boutiques. Tickets are $12 online and $14 at the door. Children ages 12 and under are free.

Ararat Shrine Circus   November 18 – 21

The circus is coming to town! The town of Independence that is. The Ararat Shrine Circus in partnership with the Fox4 Love Fund for Children returns to the Cable Dahmer Arena for six amazing shows. Starting Thursday, November 18 through Sunday, November 21, you and your family can enjoy KC’s only three ring circus. Click here to purchase tickets.

A Christmas Carol   Beginning November 19

The Kansas City Repertory Theatre’s annual performance of A Christmas Carol is—once again—hitting the stage, November 19 through December 26, at Spencer Theatre. This classic tale by Charles Dickens is a fan favorite creating holiday memories for families all around our community. Join Ebenezer Scrooge on his redemptive journey with Christmas Past, Present, and Future, and rediscover the true meaning of the holidays. Click here for tickets and showtimes. 

Folly Frolic  November 20

Enjoy two events for one great cause. The evening begins with the Patrons Party—a cabaret-inspired celebration with delicious hors d’oeuvres, libations, and a gourmet chocolate and bubbly bar—followed by Kansas City’s premiere of Two Lost Souls, featuring Kate Flannery and Emmy and Golden Globe winner Jane Lynch. In their critically acclaimed cabaret performance, Lynch and Flannery put their one-of-a-kind spin on songs from Broadway to The Barry Sisters to the Swingin’ Sixties. Northern Lights Holiday Lighting Ceremony  November 20

Zona Rosa will kick off the 2021 holiday season with their annual lighting ceremony featuring the historic holiday crowns and a majestic 55-foot Christmas tree! Starting at 4:00 p.m., local bands will play holiday tunes on the main stage with emcee Karli Ritter. You can enjoy hot chocolate or specialty coffee from Coffee Cake KC. Santa will arrive at 6:00 p.m. to turn on the holiday lights, but plan to get there early, because the first 200 kids to check in at the Zona Rosa tent will receive a special holiday surprise!
