After the Harvest: The Amazing Sweet Corn Glean-A-Thon

Over the course of two weeks, gleaning teams will choose a day in which they’ll have a 3-hour window to harvest as much sweet corn from as possible from an ATH Partner Farm. All harvested sweet corn will be delivered to Kansas City-area food pantries, community kitchens, and other agencies that feed food insecure individuals in our community. The Glean-A-Thon concludes with the Amaizing Sweet Corn Festival at the National Agricultural Center & Hall of Fame.

After the Harvest is seeking volunteer teams from area corporations and businesses, community and church groups, and families and individuals. Compete to win prizes for teamwork, creativity, strategy, and most pounds per team member. Plus, you’ll get that warm tingly feeling of knowing you helped feed our hungry neighbors.

The Amaizing Sweet Corn Glean-A-Thon & Festival is also a great opportunity for organizations to become corporate sponsors of the event and help support the fight against hunger.

Teams will be scheduled to glean sweet corn from local farms within 30 minutes of the Kansas City metro. Gleaning dates are subject to change due to weather and crop readiness. To register a team, contact:
