Have you heard the news? Kansas City’s National Women’s Soccer League has revealed its name—KC Current. Swift on the heels of this announcement comes the league’s first partnership with Boulevard Brewing Company. Boulevard’s Beer Hall is now pouring Teal Rising, a Proud Pilsner perfect for quaffing while watching the team score.
The partnership is likely the first of many. KC Current has promised to invest ten percent of partnership revenues in community programs that support kids’ sports programs. Meanwhile, Boulevard will donate ten percent of all Teal Rising proceeds to The Women’s Intersport Network for Kansas City (WIN for KC). The organization supports girls and women in sports and fitness, as well as opportunities for leadership development.
