Bark in the Sculpture Park Is Coming!

Grab Scout and Fido! Nelson-Atkins is hosting an end of summer party with a free family- (and dog-) friendly event, Bark in the Sculpture Park. Drop by the Donald J. Hall Sculpture Park between 1–4 p.m. Saturday, September 18, for an afternoon of art-filled festivities for the whole (fur) family!

Enjoy music by Kansas City’s favorite DJ Joe Straws and meet KC Pet Project adoptable dogs. Plus, guests are welcome to tour the Sculpture Park with art guides, pick up a free doggie biscuit from Shake Shack, or try a new beer from City Barrel.  (Bonus: The first 100 attendees to join the Friends of Art (or renew their membership) during the event will receive a free doggie bandanna to adorn your paw-fessional artist.)

Tickets are not required, but guests are encouraged to please practice safe social distancing. Food and drink will be available for purchase (members save 10% on snacks).

Heads up, all dogs must remain on a leash while on museum grounds. Pet parents are responsible for pet behavior and should use the dedicated pet-relief area to help protect the art.
